Black Man Theology

I believe there is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4) eternally existing as the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe the Bible is God’s written revelation through human authors inspired by the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 3:16).

I believe in Jesus Christ, who is 100% God and 100% human (Colossians 1:15-20, 2:9). I believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, signs, wonders, death on the cross to provide for our redemption, and His resurrection from death. I believe He ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9); I believe Jesus Crist is the world’s only Savior and is the Lord of all (John 14:6).

I believe the church is the body of believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. There are many members, one body (Romans 12: 4-6).

I believe the Holy Spirit regenerates new life in unbelievers and indwells believers—giving them the ability to live a godly life (John 16:13).

I believe all humans were created in the image of God. However, due to sin and the fall of Adam and Eve—they were alienated from God. I believe Jesus Christ is the only way humans can be back in right standing with God (Colossians 1:20). I believe all believers are given spiritual gifts to help the body of Christ know Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:12). I believe Jesus is coming back for those asleep in Christ and alive (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
